I started this year in a harder English class thinking it would be easy for me to catch up with the rest of my class who had been in it for a full year already. Knowing that I couldnt have the same expectations as the rest of my classmates I was still very shocked when I received my first essay score. It was so low that I was ashamed to show it to anyone else. It took me longer than I expected to catch up to the level of writing I was supposed to be in, but as the common phrase says, Practice makes perfect. At the end of the year I managed to write several pieces that made me quite proud. I finally received a perfect score in an essay and thoroughly understood the format. This allowed me to incorporate a wider vocabulary and even my own style. I am very proud of my accomplishments regarding my writing this year. I improved not only in Literature analysis essays but I also improved in History essays which really helpedme in my AP test. It was esy for me to put my thoughts down into paper when I took the test because of all the ones we had done in class.
